When you find violations of regulations, you will often hear workers ask for the purpose of such regulation: "You don't seriously think anything can happen here?" It does not matter what you may or may not think. Standards committees pass regulations, not you. You are the wrong person to discuss whether a regulation or rule makes sense or not. Objections should have been made before the regulation took force.
